Philip Shaw Wedding Orange NSW

Kate & Jarrod

Kate and Jarrod's wedding was an authentic, love filled day. And, when it rained right at the ceremony time; their ceremony location soaked and their backup ceremony location flooded this beautiful couple took it all in their stride.

Kate and Jarrod wanted to keep some traditions, but also do what was really important to them. They stayed at the same accommodation with their family and friends - a huge heritage style house that is absolutely stunning and perfect for big groups people - The Hermitage. The got ready together, helping each other get dressed - Jarrod put on Kate’s velvet shoes for her and she fixed up his tie. It was so sweet and why not? Soak in the details of the day and spend as much time together as you can if you want to!

We did their family photos before the ceremony in the garden at the accommodation then headed out in cars to Philip Shaw Wines to meet their guests before the ceremony. We took some beautiful portraits and then Kate and Jarrod sipped champagne and greeted everyone as they arrived. Then the weather came in!

The skies were looking completely fine, then 5 minutes later there was a torrential downpour which made the ceremony site and backup ceremony site too wet to hold the ceremony. All the vendors rallied together and we delayed the ceremony while we shifted into the cellar door area. An hour and lots of champagne later Kate and Jarrod said their vows and were married!

Sebastian from Sounds of Sebastian bought the tunes and as the weather cleared we popped outside again for a few quick portraits. Dinner was delicious as always and the night rolled on with speeches, fun and a super fun dance floor!
