Lilianfels Elopement Blue Mountains
Gina & Peter
Gina and Peter are some of the most beautiful souls I have ever met in my life! They are kind, considerate, funny and have hearts as big as the moon. They wrap their family and friends in love and celebrate their own love in a small but extremely intimate and heartfelt elopement in the gardens at Lilianfels, a heritage style boutique hotel on the escarpment in Katoomba. Gina wore a stunning Rachel Gilbert dress and Floral Ink made one of the most stunning arbours I’ve ever seen.
Peter’s daughter was flying in from Melbourne for their wedding and her plane was delayed. So we switched up the schedule to have portraits on the escarpment before the ceremony as she drove up from the airport in Sydney. When she and her partner arrived there were a lot of happy tears. She made it just before dark - and dinner! Their ceremony by Fiona Mason was very personal and connected them to their children on both sides with a ribbon tying ceremony.
At the end of the wedding the champagne was popped and there were hugs and happy tears all round. We had enough time for some family portraits that included Peter’s daughter before everyone headed up to dinner in a private room at Lilianfels beautifully decorated by Floral Ink. I left everyone to enjoy their meal and I swear I smiled the whole drive home!
How beautiful are Blue Mountains elopements!
