Liz and Chris’ wedding was everything they dreamed of: intimate, relaxed, and full of love. From the very start of their wedding planning, they envisioned a small, garden-style ceremony with their closest family and friends, and a celebration that was light-hearted, fun, and colorful.
They chose the stunning *Breenhold Gardens* in Mount Wilson as their venue, a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and peaceful seclusion—perfect for an intimate elopement. The couple exchanged vows under a tree draped in delicate pink blossoms, creating a magical, serene atmosphere.
Family, Fun, and Maggie the Ring Bearer
One of the highlights of the day was their sweet Labrador, Maggie, who took on the important role of ring bearer with tail wagging and all! Five adorable nephews also played their part as flower boys, adding even more charm to the ceremony. With a small, close-knit group of family and friends, Liz and Chris shared their vows in a moment that was both heartfelt and joyful.
A Love Story Meant to Be
Liz and Chris’ journey began in 2015 when they met while working together at Penrith Council. Bonding over a shared love of fantasy novels, soccer, camping, and adventures, it didn’t take long for their friendship to turn into love. Now, nearly a decade later, they’ve built a life in Wollongong with Maggie and were thrilled to have their loved ones with them as they said "I do."
A Relaxed, Joyful Day
The couple wanted their wedding day to feel relaxed and fun. After the ceremony, we wandered through Breenhold Gardens for portraits, capturing candid, colorful moments—everything from Maggie’s adorable antics to the beautiful backdrop of rhododendrons, daffodil fields, and ivy-covered walls. It was the perfect setting for a wedding full of laughter, love, and memories to cherish.
