Jess and Aleks

I photographed Jess and Alek's’ wedding in 2018. It has been an incredible journey capturing the special moments in Jess and Aleks' lives since they booked me for their wedding. From their engagement shoot to their wedding day, the arrival of their first child, and now as they welcome their twin girls, each photo session has been a joy. Witnessing their evolution as a couple and now as a growing family has been so beautiful.

The images of them with Jess' parents hold a special place in my heart. I love those moments when a family portrait so obviously captures a frozen moment in time - three generations of family hanging out together when the kids are so little is so precious. The grow as qucikly as grandparents get older, and seeing them altogether is just so beautiful.

I even love all of the family portrait outtakes! The cheekiness, grumpiness and cuddles. It's a privilege to be part of their family story and history!

As a wedding, family and commercial photographer working across central west NSW, I am always on the lookout for interesting photography venue and locations, but a lot of the time simple is best. All we needed for this shoot was beautiful light, some long grass and space to put the picnic rug down and for the kids to move around. Having worked with kids for a very long time, it is so fun seeing their little personalities shine in the family portraits and trying to capture who they are at that moment in time.
