Maternity photos are typically taken between 30-35 weeks into your pregnancy when your belly is nearly fully grown, and you're feeling good before the final weeks. Maternity photo shoots are often done outdoors with a beautiful scenic backdrop and golden hour light, but can be done indoors or somewhere special to you as well. We can do a maternity photo shoot anytime during the year - even winter! Winter portrait sessions are stunning because the skies are often clear and there is beautiful light outdoors. Winter light is often soft and flattering for skin tones and colours.

Jess and Troy invited me to their property In Borenore near Orange NSW to document Jess’ growing belly and capture a momen in time before their lives changed with Phoenix’s birth. With a stunning sunset and beautiful simple styling, this maternity session is one of my all time faves.

Styling for maternity shoots isn’t as hard as it might seem. Choosing a few beautiful floaty dresses that you can change in and out of that make you feel great and make you and your bump look gorgeous then adding some fun accessories like hats and jewellery are easy ways to make your belly shots more interesting. And as always I am here for advice anytime you need me!
